IRONWORKS is a 1000+ member club in Second Life for gay men and their friends. We believe that our members are community-minded individuals who envision Second Life as a place to socialize within a creative play space. So many guys in the club astound us every day with their talented approaches to SL. These are doors we want kept open; to create a rich and diverse culture for gay people while pumping some testosterone into the SL party scene!
Ironworks and the adjacent Hothouse Plaza hold dance parties 7 days a week, hosted by great staff for a fun and enthusiastic crowd. Many of our events turn out to be fundraisers; last year we were a major part of an effort that raised $3500 USD for the Treatment Action Campaign . This amount provided anti-retroviral medicine to 6 South Africans for a year.
